The best pad Thai at Koh Phi Phi, at Only Noodles. Thailand, February 2011.

The best Koh Phi Phi pad Thai

Only Noodles... Only noodles. That's the name of a tiny restaurant we loved on Koh Phi Phi. On the menu were noodles, exclusively: the famous Thai stir-fried noodles known as pad-thai. In my humble opinion, this is the best place to eat pad-thai on Koh Phi Phi!

    Underwater at the Similan

Hop! Back in the water! Back below the surface. On the program: a short cruise to the Similan Islands, with Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon and Koh Tachaï on the itinerary. These are Thailand's most famous dive sites...
Koh Phi Phi Leh. Thailand, February 2011.

Phi Phi Leh, the beautiful island

Koh Phi Phi, it's actually two islands. The big one, Koh Phi Phi Don, where one lives. And the little one, Koh Phi Phi Leh, uninhabited. It keeps, despite the crowd of tourists, like treasure island, cinema island.

    Princesses in Krabi

The other girl, my travel buddy, was setting foot in Thailand for the first time. All in all, she spent five short days there. I decided she had to see Krabi and Koh Phi Phi.
Tortoise. Phi Phi Leh, Thailand. February 2011.

    Lady Turtle

After Cambodia and the temples of Angkor, we headed for southern Thailand. So much for the chronology of the story... I zap straight into underwater mode, with my first underwater video: a coral-eating turtle at Phi Phi Leh.
    Fear by plane.

    Funk in an airplane

Usually, I'm not too buggy on the plane. But here I had the opportunity to have a big fright on a flight Phuket - Kuala Lumpur ...
Ta Prohm. Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia. February 2011.

    Ta Prohm: Roots and Stone

At Ta Prohm, the roots of the trees embrace the stone. I love this temple of Angkor, where you can almost think you are an explorer, discovering mysterious ruins buried in the jungle ...
Angkor Wat. Siem Reap, Cambodia, February 2011.

    Angkor Again

Angkor Wat: the best-known, largest and most visited temple. It has even become a national symbol: its towers adorn the Cambodian flag.
The faces of Bayon. Cambodia, February 2011.

    The faces of Bayon

I wanted to see the Angkor temples again. In particular, the Bayon and its towers, sculpted with enigmatic smiling faces. To see again and again... I love it!
Tuk-tuk in Angkor. Cambodia, February 2011.

    Tuk-tuk, lady?

For once, I'm not traveling solo, but with a friend. Between the two of us, the tuk-tuk is the most practical way of getting from one temple to another in Angkor and around Siem Reap.
Sunset on the Bakheng Hill Temple. Siem Reap, Cambodia. February 2011.

    Tourist in Siem Reap

Siem Reap is the town next to the Angkor temples in Cambodia. My previous visits here date back to and . It was already crowded. But this time, well... it just took on a whole new dimension. The traditional sunset at Bakheng Hill is well worth the detour.
